Morris Chair Woodworking Plans
This plan is presented in response to a number of requests for a Morris Chair which can be made in home workshops.  The chair has wide, bow arms and the back adjusts to 3 different positions.  The Morris Chair first became popular in the early 1900's and is associated with the Arts & Crafts movement.  Now you can use these plans to build this popular furniture.  Overall size: 33" wide x 38-1/2" high x 33-5/8" deep.

The footrest plan matches the Morris Chair.  Build both and relax in comfort.  This Arts & Crafts project is easy to make and will nicely accent the chair.  Top area is 15" x 19", height is 15-1/4".  The cushion shown is a slip seat with a box edge, matching the cushions of the Morris Chair.

There is no instruction for upholstering, so that will be up to you.  The plans take care of every detail, though for the intermediate woodworker to complete both projects pictured.  Footrest plan is available separately from this webpage:  CLICK HERE FOR FOOTREST ONLY

Intermediate or advanced level project.  What will you get?  See the "Anatomy of a Plan".
