French Armoire Woodworking Plans While the earliest French Armoire was used for the storage of arms and armor, this 68" high piece is designed to store clothing and linens. Today the armoire is used in many ways. With shelving modifications, it can be used as an entertainment center for audio and video components, or as a dry bar or wine storage. Adaptations are made by outfitting the upper section to suit your needs. A total of four drawers in the base permits ample storage. Raised panel doors and dentil molding on the cornice give added richness to this traditional piece. Size: 38" wide x 21" deep x 68" high. We consider this an advanced woodworking project.
